GAZAM SUSPENSION POLICY
As a seller, your store will be suspended for the following reasons:
- High volume of orders cancellation rate
- Auto-cancellation of prepaid/pay on delivery orders
- Delay in response/non-responsiveness to arbitration issues for defective/wrong orders
- Shipping wrong items to customers
- Delivering defective/faulty items to customers
- Shipping orders different from what was advertised on the website
- False update of self-fulfilled orders to avoid paying commission charges on delivered orders
- Lack of payment of overdue invoices (commissions)
- Declining Orders because of Price Change
OUR STORE CLOSURE POLICY
As a seller, your store will be closed for violating the reasons below:
- Inactive store
- Fraudulent activities: Extortion of cash from customers before order is shipped and without the approval of Gazam team
- Shipping of fake products to customers
- Shipping of used or refurbished products to customers
- Non-payment of overdue invoices
- Constant sale of defective products on Gazam
- Verbal/Physical abuse or use of derogatory words in communication with any Gazam representative
RESTRICTED PRODUCTS AGREEMENT
When customers shop on Gazam, they trust that they will be receiving authentic products and all products are permitted to be sold and are of great condition. As a seller on Gazam, all products you offer for sale must comply with our policies as well as other regulatory bodies in the country. Below are products that are not permissible to be sold on Gazam:
- The sale of illegal, unsafe, expired products is strictly prohibited.
- The sale of prescription drugs is prohibited
- Products without ZABS
numbers are not allowed on the platform
- Home and electronic appliances that do not have warranty are not permitted for sale on Gazam.
- Electronic appliances that do not have after-sales service centers or contacts are not permissible for sale on Gazam.
- Sale of consumable products that have not been tested is not permissible on the platform
- Sale of top brands products without a letter of sale permit from the manufacturers/major distributors will not be allowed on the platform. The following brands are not permitted to be sold on Gazam except by the manufacturers:

PROHIBITED SELLER ACTIVITIES
Our prohibited seller activities have been created to help maintain a conducive buying and selling platform fair for you as a seller and credible and safe for buyers.
We advise that you comply with these terms to avoid product rejection, store suspension, or outright store closure. This policy does not in any way limit your listed obligations as agreed by opening a store on Gazam and proceeding to list your products and/or services.
The following rules apply to both sellers of products and/or services.
Opening Multiple Stores: Operating and maintaining multiple store accounts is not permitted. If you have a legitimate business need for a second store that does not sell in the same category with your first store, you may go ahead to create such store. You can however apply for an exception to this policy however separate charges other than subscription and commission fees will apply for multiple stores creation by same merchant on Gazam mall.
Selling Duplicate Products: When customers use Gazam’s search engine and browse structure, they expect to find relevant and accurate results. Any attempt to manipulate the search and browse experience by uploading excessive amounts of same products repeatedly under the same store, or otherwise use the product listing service in an excessive or unreasonable way just to have your products come up in several search pages, is prohibited. Gazam may at its sole discretion restrict or disable your access to list other similar products or any other functions that are being misused until you stop its misuse.
Diversion of Gazam Transactions or Buyers for Personal Gains: Any attempt to circumvent the established sales process created by Gazam or to divert Gazam users to another website or sales process is prohibited. Any advertisements or special offers that lead, prompt, or encourage Gazam customers to leave its Gazam website are prohibited. This may include the use of email or the
inclusion of hyperlinks, URL’s or web addresses within any seller-generated email messages or any product/listing description fields on Gazam website.
Inappropriate Email and Phone Communications: Unsolicited email and phone communications with Gazam customers other than as necessary for order fulfillment and related pre and post sales customer service, and emails and phone calls related to marketing communications of any kind (including within otherwise permitted communications directly with Gazam customers are prohibited.
Post-Transaction Price Manipulation: Any attempt to increase the sale price of an item after a transaction has been completed or customer has prepaid is prohibited and will attract store suspension or store closure if found to be repetitive.
AUTHENTIC PRODUCTS POLICY
The sale of illegal, stolen or unsafe products on Gazam is outrightly prohibited and will lead to legal action being taken against you and this includes civil action and criminal penalties.
The Sales of Goods Act: Zambia Bureau of Standards, and Gazam prohibit the sale of substandard or counterfeit products on Gazam’s website. Legal actions will be taken against any merchant confirmed to be selling these products and such merchant will be prosecuted by the relevant authorities. Like any marketplace with thousands of merchants, Gazam Marketplace has rules that will help ensure a conducive and mutually beneficial experience for both our customers and our merchant partners.
- If you have listed your products for sale on Gazam, you are bound by your listings to sell to customers that have made purchases to your store.
- All account and product details listed must be true and available for sale at all times
- If your account has been suspended due to owed invoices or closed due to fraudulent actions, you are not allowed to open another selling account with aliases. See our Suspension Policy for guidelines.

How do I sell on Gazam?
Selling on Gazam has been made very easy. Just visit https://sellershub.taskmanager.webslaash.com/register and provide all necessary information required on the form. A link for your phone number and email verification will be sent you. Kindly verify and get started with your registration. You are required to complete certain tasks before your store can be approved.
What tasks am I required to complete?
You are required to
- take an orientation assessment after you must have studied the guide ● upload a profile picture
- upload a valid means of identification (National id or passport)
I have completed registration of my store on Gazam, what next?
Kindly login to your store (enter your email and password) and click on store name icon on the bottom left and follow the instructions on “HELP”.
Tried uploading my profile picture but I keeping getting an error message, how do I go about it?

Is there an acceptable size of profile pictures uploaded for my store?
The Gazam standard profile picture size is 254 by 256 pixels.

Yes, it is, also acceptable is a drivers license, international passport and National Registration Card.

Are there any fees for selling?
As a new seller on gazam you are allowed a “free trial” for 1 month after which you are required to select a plan. There are 3 subscription plans to select from, namely:
The Gold Plan, the Silver plan and the Bronze plan. The Gold Plan and the Silver plan attracts a token fee.
How do I know what plan to pick? Every plan has its unique feature.
- Gold Plan: allows unlimited products listing visible on the website with additional features at K515 monthly. no access to customer information and reviews tab
- Silver Plan: allows a maximum of 20 enabled products visible on the website at K258 monthly. no access to customer information and reviews tab
- Bronze Plan – allows unlimited product listing with higher commission charges and no access to customer information and reviews tab.
How can I become a classic plus merchant?
A store is upgraded to Classic Plus if the store makes successful sale of above K30,000 in value or 1,000 orders in volume, for two months consecutively (that is, back-to-back). Only stores on the Gold or Silver subscription plans are considered. However, if a store is dropped to the Bronze plan due to failure to subscribe before previous Gold or Silver plan is due, such store will need to start over to meet the criteria to be upgraded back to Classic Plus.
Why can’t I sell yet?
You have not completed the required task (orientation assessment, upload a valid id).
Why has my Product being rejected?
Products can be rejected for several reasons:
- low quality image.
- wrong sizes of picture
- Gazam does not allow logo of a seller on product image.
- wrong product category placement
- no ZABS number for products that require
- uploading different colors of products as a single product
How do I know when I have an order?
You will receive an email and a text message notifying you of your new order. You are to log into your SHG account to view this new order.
How long do I have to ship my order?
New orders must be shipped before 48 hours, otherwise they will be auto-cancelled, and auto-cancellations count against your store. Self fulfilled orders should be updated within 9 days. It is appropriate to always ship new orders within 24 hours to reduce the chances of your buyer losing interest in the order. This will give enough room to resolve any unforeseen emergencies that may arise in the course of processing a shipment, and it will also facilitate a quicker delivery by reducing to time-to-deliver by 24 hours. Please note that the SLAs for shipping are subject to change and such change will be duly ccommunicated to all merchants.
How do I ship?
Once you have received a new order, package item properly and take to the GOS drop off center nearest to you. You can click https://gazamstore.com/site/dropoff to view all GOS centers.
How Can I Ship My Orders By Myself?
New Merchants are not allowed to ship orders by “self”. Only top seller and trusted merchants are granted the access to ship orders by “self”. As a new seller you will have to build trust to earn the right to ship orders by self.

How do I receive Payment?
After the order has been delivered, the sales proceeds move to your escrow account (a secured place) and stays there until the return policy for that product expires. Please note that the return policy will be decided by you at the point of product creation. Once the return policy expires your funds will be paid into your ACCOUNT registered account. fund is credited into your Gazam Wallet, after which you will be required to request for a payout. Merchant payout is processed into your registered account on SHG between 1-5 working days.
How does Gazam receive commission for self –fulfilled orders?
Sellers that deliver orders through self-fulfil receive their invoices at the end of the month. If the invoice is not paid within 21 days, seller’s store will be suspended from selling on Gazam while store will be permanently closed after 60 days of non-payment of invoice(s).
How can I put my store on hold while I go on vacation?
You can put your store on Vacation by visiting your SHG account, click “settings” then store” Scroll down to vacation settings and store on vacation. What does Gazam expect of me as a seller?

Why does Gazam mainly support buyers on case resolution?
Gazam supports both buyers and sellers on the platform. We ensure a level playing ground is provided for both buyers and sellers and no decision is one sided.
What is Gazam doing to get non serious buyers off the site?
We have a system for identifying non serious buyers, which restricts their access to the platform
What do I do when a buyer is misusing the review system to blackmail me? Buyers are allowed to review their shopping experience on the platform. Before a bad review is posted on the product’s page, you will be contacted to share your side of the story. If no response is received from you within a specified period, review will be posted to your live store. However, if you feel you are getting a wrong review, kindly send a complaint to our contact center at help@taskmanager.webslaash.com.
How do I receive my items that a buyer has returned or an item that GOS was unable to deliver successfully?
All returned items will be returned to your preferred pick-up GOS location. You will be notified via mail or SMS when it’s ready for pick-up and you are expected to do so within 7 days to avoid forfeiture of the said item.

How long does it Gazam a to respond to an email?
All emails are responded to within 48hours.
But I sent a mail, and I am yet to receive a response?
Note that responses not received within 48 hours suggests that your mail was not successfully delivered to the customer service team. All mails are responded to within 48hours. You could confirm from your sent items if you inputted the correct email address as well. You will be required to resend mail if we are yet responded within 48 hours.
Why are my products paused?
Products are mostly paused when a store has been suspended or a store has been put on Vacation.
Why can’t I log into SHG?
The most likely reason you are unable to log into your SHG account could be as a result of network issues or store closure. You may also not be able to log into your SHG account if your store has been closed. You will, however, received an email notification the moment your store is closed with the reason for closure. See our Store Closure Policy for guidelines.
How can I get my suspended store reinstated?
Store suspension lasts for a minimum of 2 weeks, and a suspended store may only be reinstated after going through the reorientation process, which will always be 20 communicated upon suspension of the store. It should be noted that a store can only be suspended once within 120 days; store may be closed on the second suspension within 120 days.

PAYMENT
How do I register my bank account details on SHG?
STEP 1
Add your Bank Information
- Seller must have a mandatory BANK account
- Your bank details are mandatoryfor us to be able to transfer your money.
- You need to add them in Seller Manager: Settings > Your Profile > Bank Account
All following details are required:
- Bank Name
- Account Name
- Account Number
STEP 2
Wait until the money is available
- Whenever you get a new order, you won’t receive the money on your account immediately as we keep this amount pending for a few days to make sure the customer doesn’t want to return it.
- You will receive your payment within the timeframe specified in your contract with Gazam.
- You can see all your pending payments in the “Due and unpaid” & “Open statement” sections of your Account Statements.
STEP 3
Receive automatically the money on your bank account
- Once the payment is due, Gazam will automatically send it to your bank account mentioned in “Your Profile”.
- You can find in your “Account Statements” the detail of all payments added (credit) or deducted (debit) from your account.

Why am I not making sales well?
There are a few tips to selling well.
- Prices must be competitive
- Using the ‘Special Price’ feature to offer discount on products prices
- Encourage your customers to drop reviews on successful sales (and work on improving on negative feedback)
- Individually advertise and promote your Gazam store url to family and friends, and share on various social media channels

How do I choose a date to start the advert?
You can suggest your preferred start date for the advert and communicate that via email to the ad sales team. However, this is subject to availability of your preferred slot.
Can I choose who I want to advertise my products to?
Yes you can, however, this is dependent on the channel of advertising, as terms and conditions vary across channels.
What’s the minimum amount I can spend on advertising?

How do I pay for the slot I’m interested in?
An invoice showing details of payment will be sent via email to you. How do I know if my Advert was effective? Once the advert has been concluded, a performance report is generated on the duration of advert launch and sent to you. You will also be advised on the best way to make more sales.
FULFILMENT BY GAZAM
Through Fulfillment by Gazam, merchants are allowed to store their products at Gazam’s fulfillment centre at an affordable cost. Fulfillment by Gazam helps sellers pick, pack and ship their orders. - We take charge of everything from the order placement to the last mile delivery.
- Customers bear the cost of shipping charges. However, seller bears cost if seller offers free shipping
- The earlier your customers receives your products with FBG, the higher the likelihood of referring more buyers directly to your store and having loyal customers.
- Affordable cost of warehousing with Gazam. FBG Payment Method Sales proceeds to merchants will be less the warehouse charge.
This means that merchant will be charged ONLY when item ordered is successfully delivered. Merchants will be billed by the size (weight band) of the item being warehoused.
